Plymouth

Chrysler introduced Plymouth Cars in 1928, in a bid to increase its market share in the lower price market. This helped the brand to survive during the Great Depression. Plymouth produced some of the best-selling American cars during the 1940s and 50s, but it started to lose market share during the 1960s. Chrysler closed the company in 2001.
