Description

"Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DB6 Mk. II had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body and powerful six-cylinder engine. Power was supplied by an all alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve inline six-cylinder engine which produced 335bhp @ 5750rpm. The supercharger was supplied by Eaton who also provided blowers for the mighty eight-cylinder Vantage that was produced at Newport Pagnell at the same time as the DB7 at Bloxham. Regarded by many as the purest modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road.
Originally registered on 17th May 1995 this manual transmission Aston Martin presents very well. The Silver coachwork is virtually unmarked and the grey leather interior has obviously been well cared for. The vendor is a fastidious collector and looked long and hard for a manual transmission example that was in the right condition for him, hence the reason why he has owned this car for the last 12 years. A very good service history accompanies this DB7 and such is the conscientiousness of the vendor, he is putting the car into Aston Martin in Leeds to have a service prior to auction. Fitted with magnesium wheels and a sat nav, that sits in the centre console by the gear lever this six-cylinder DB7 as is to be expected, reported to drive with no known faults. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a fresh MoT together with a host of invoices this well cared for DB7 i6 a true British classic at an affordable price. Consigned by Stewart Banks."
