What do you do if your Aston Martin turns into a hippopotamus?

The M.A.D. Gallery from Geneva is known for not taking itself too seriously. In its latest collaboration with Swiss artist Frédéric Müller, some of the world’s greatest classic cars are suddenly transformed into lions, pandas and alligators…

There are certainly some cars that are remotely reminiscent of an animal relative, such as the Austin-Healey Sprite called “Frogeye” or the VW Beetle. However, young artist Frédéric Müller has gone one step further in his new digital retouching work and has cross-bred well-known classic cars with animal species. Now you can marvel at hippos in suits heading to the office in a matching curvaceous Aston Martin, pandas transporting their bamboo supplies in a bearish Fiat 500 or a drift racing crocodile at the wheel of an alligator-like Corvette. The work, which was created with fun in mind, can now be acquired as prints in a collector box from Maximilian Büsser’s M.A.D. Gallery.
